Finland Valmet and Germany ECKS sign ship automation agency agreement
Recently, Valmet of Finland and the German ECKS MARINE company signed a ship automation agency agreement. The company will be responsible for providing market reports to Valmet, maintaining contact with local shipyards and shipowners and providing sales network support.
John Weierud, head of marine automation at Valmet, said: "The German shipbuilding industry is quite developed. We will work with Ecks Marine to form a strong team locally."
Valmet's long history in the marine business began with a small shipyard on the outskirts of Helsinki, Finland more than 200 years ago. Valmet has a long-term good track record in the cleaning and automation of flue gas for container ships, general purpose vessels and cruise ships.
