This project is one of the eight key industry technology roadmap research projects initiated by Hubei Province in 2008. It is undertaken by Hubei Keboze New Material Research Institute. On the basis of extensive and in-depth investigations, the research team used industrial technology roadmap research methods and analyzed the domestic and foreign markets, key technologies, and patented technical barriers, and combined them with industries such as metallurgy, information, photovoltaics, new energy, textiles, and building materials. The requirements, focusing on the five major areas of basic fluorine chemicals, special fluorine-containing monomers and their high performance polymers, electrolytic fluorine products, fluorine fine chemicals, and comprehensive utilization of fluorine and phosphorus resources, proposed the technical road map for the fluorine chemical industry in Hubei Province.
Experts at the meeting unanimously agreed that the project has collected a wide range of research data, conducted scientific research methods, achieved close integration between the government, enterprises, schools, and research institutes, and fully mobilized all parties' resources. This is a good model for the preparation of industrial technology roadmaps. The results of the project research will give full play to our province's fluorine resources, human resources and technological advantages, revitalize the fluorine chemical industry, adopt modern research methods of industrial technology roadmaps, formulate plans for the development and industrialization of fluorine chemicals, and promote the implementation of science in the fluorine chemical industry in Hubei Province. Sustainable development and industrial upgrading are of great significance. At the same time, the research of this project has a good demonstration effect on the research of other industrial technology roadmap projects and the development of similar research in the future.
The evaluation committee unanimously agreed that the project passed the review, and proposed to further strengthen the construction and integration of the fluorine chemical development platform; further combine the technical development direction of the fluorine chemical industry, condense the key development needs of the fluorine chemical industry in Hubei Province; apply the roadmap to strengthen the fluorine chemical industry technology Innovative macro guidance.

On March 20th, the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology organized the key project of 2008 Hubei Province Science and Technology Plan Soft Science Research Project “Hubei Province Fluorine Industry Technology Roadmap Project Review Meetingâ€.
