For example, in the 5140TQZ wrecker, the total mass of the vehicle that is being held is not to exceed 14 tons at first, and the weight of the lifting point of the care arm is also considered to be within the rated lifting mass range.


Wrestling ability of wreckers is related to the maximum total mass of the wrecker and engine power. Article 3.6 of GB7258 “Technical Conditions for Operational Safety of Motor Vehicles” stipulates that the specific power of motor vehicles shall not be less than 4.8 kW/t, and the dragging and pulling capacity of the wrecker must meet this requirement. For example, for a 5140TQZ wrecker, the maximum gross mass G is 14000kg, and the engine power is 132kW. Then the dragging quality G* of the wrecker must meet: G+G*≤132/4.8X1000, that is, G*≤ 13500 kg.


From the above results, it can be seen that due to the matching of the bearing and the engine when considering the design of the chassis, the refitted wrecker has the same dragging and pulling capabilities. For safety, it should be used according to this regulation.

4. When using the boom and winch for lifting and pulling operation, the winch clutch must not be separated. The wire rope must retain at least 5 turns on the winch drum. Use the winch wire rope to pull as much as possible during the operation. Do not arbitrarily extend and change the boom. Do not overload the boom when using it so as not to damage the boom and cause a safety accident.


5. When using the support arm, one must choose the lifting position. Secondly, consider lifting the lifting arm as far as possible, but do not interfere when driving. After lifting the vehicle, be sure to use the chain and the strap to assist the connection of the vehicle. In order to avoid the brakes, bumps and Other reasons during the driving process, the tow truck and the wrecker will be separated from each other, thereby damaging the towed vehicle or causing a safety accident.

7. If the working time is long, pay attention to the temperature of the hydraulic oil must not exceed 60 °C, especially in continuous operation under high temperature environment, it should pay more attention to inspection to prevent the oil temperature is too high. (Generally, the corresponding tubing of the multi-way valve being operated is touched by the hand. If it feels hot and cannot stay on the tubing, the oil temperature should be considered too high).


8. When the wrecker is driving in the car, due to the influence of road conditions, braking, steering and other factors, it must be noted that the driving speed cannot be too fast. The high-grade road should not exceed 50Km/h, and the mountain road and uneven road should not exceed 30Km. /h, to avoid damage to the vehicle or safety incidents.
