Shenhua Coal to Olefin Commercialization Operation Opens

On February 1, Baotou Coal Chemical Branch Company of China Shenhua Coal-to-oil Chemical Co., Ltd. came to the news that since the company's coal-to-olefins demonstration project was put into commercial operation on January 1 this year, as of January 25, polyolefins The output was 38,036 tons, 2,000 tons more than the current month's production plan, and the first month of commercial operation achieved a good start.
Shenhua Group's Baotou Coal to Olefins Demonstration Project is the first successful practice of industrialized and commercialized operation of the coal-to-olefins process route in the world. The project includes an annual output of 1.8 million tons of coal-to-methanol combined chemical plant, 600,000 tons of methanol-based polyolefin combined petrochemical plant and supporting production facilities, with a total investment of approximately 17 billion yuan. The project is located in Jiuyuan Industrial Park, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia.
Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Company is responsible for the production and operation of the Shenhua Baotou Coal to Olefins Project. In order to achieve a good start of commercial operation, the company launched a four-month production conference in early January, focused its efforts on organizing research, and worked hard to solve the bottleneck problem of regulating the full-load and stable operation of the device.
The methanol center has developed a special protection plan for cracks and leaks that are prone to cracks and leaks in the process gas pipelines. Special protection agencies have been set up to perform special protection management of the purification unit conversion units. The thermoelectric center takes corresponding measures for the defects of high boiler exhaust temperature and insufficient output, and uses the power generation load of the generator set and the actual steam production of the boiler to ensure that the chemical system uses steam.
The MTO (Methanol to Olefin) plant is the core of the entire production system. In order to realize the full-load operation of the MTO plant, they invited the technology supplier to the site to form a joint research group. After arduous efforts, the MTO plant load was gradually increased to 110%. The breakthrough of the MTO device load was achieved, and the device was stabilized at 100% load after stable operation.
The company also aimed at the fact that the methanol synthesis plant production load is lower than the actual production load of the MTO plant, and the way of outsourcing methanol was used to make up for the shortage of methanol production, which provided conditions for the high load operation of the MTO plant. At the same time, the operational load of public works systems should be properly adjusted to optimize the mode of operation to ensure the safe and stable operation of chemical systems.
At present, the plant's combined chemical plant load is stable at 96%, and the MTO plant load is stable at 100%. Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Company is working hard to achieve an annual output of 450,000 tons of polyolefin products.

Welding Rod

Tubular tungsten carbide welding rods are a type of welding consumable used for hardfacing applications. They are made by filling a tubular steel rod with a mixture of tungsten carbide particles and a binder material.

The tungsten carbide particles provide exceptional hardness and wear resistance, making them suitable for applications where the welded surface needs to withstand high levels of abrasion, erosion, or impact. The binder material helps to hold the tungsten carbide particles together and facilitate the welding process.

Tubular tungsten carbide welding rods are typically used in industries such as mining, construction, oil and gas, and agriculture, where equipment and machinery are subjected to harsh operating conditions. They can be used for hardfacing various components, such as drill bits, crusher hammers, wear plates, and cutting tools.

The welding process for tubular tungsten carbide rods is similar to other types of welding, such as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) or gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW). The rods are typically welded using a high heat source, such as an electric arc, to melt the rod and create a strong bond with the base metal.

Overall, tubular tungsten carbide welding rods are a popular choice for hardfacing applications due to their exceptional hardness and wear resistance properties. They help extend the lifespan of equipment and machinery, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
