Compared with European and American countries, domestic remanufacturing of internal-combustion engines started relatively late, and many companies have jointly established remanufacturing production bases with foreign-funded enterprises in joint ventures.

In fact, according to the country's remanufacturing management approach, the remanufacturing industry is a relatively closed industrial chain. The enterprises engaged in remanufacturing are themselves vehicle manufacturers or parts manufacturers, or are authorized enterprises. Take Weichai as an example, its remanufacturing industry is only targeting its own products, and remanufactured products that flow into the market are still warranted by Weichai's after-sales service network to provide the same services as new products.
