The airbag of the vehicle in this recall range is equipped with an ammonium nitrate gas generator without a desiccant produced by Takada. When the airbag is deployed, the gas generator may be abnormally damaged, causing debris to fly out and injuring the inside of the vehicle, posing a safety hazard. BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will replace the airbag gas generators of the vehicles involved in the recall for free to eliminate safety hazards.
