The feasibility study report on the localization of the new medium-speed diesel engine (Phase I), which has received much attention, was officially approved by the National Defense Science and Technology Commission.
Approved by the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and supported by research funding, Shaanxi Diesel Engine Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., 711, Wuhan University of Technology and other units participated in the development of a new medium-speed diesel engine, aimed at passing L21/31, L27/ 38. Development of localization of four new marine medium-speed diesel engines, such as L32/40 and DK-28, mastering the production technology of key components and the debugging technology of complete machines, and achieving the goal of rapidly increasing the localization rate of marine diesel engines in China.
It is understood that L21/31, L27/38, L32/40 and DK-28 diesel engines are new diesel engines imported from Germany MAN B&W and Japan Daihatsu Diesel Co., Ltd., and the new four-type machine is advanced in technology and reliability. The advantages of high speed and easy maintenance are widely used in marine main engines, marine power generation and land power generation, and the market prospect is promising. The research period of the new medium-speed diesel engine localization project is from 2006 to 2008, and the project acceptance is completed in 2009.
